The Williams family got their start in the show lamb business like many other programs, from 4-H projects through the local county fair. Craig had a love and passion for cattle and sheep growing up which bloomed into the foundation of Diamond W Club Lambs. The operation moved from Iowa to Indiana in 1992 and this has been the primary location until the formal expansion of a second division formed in 2021. Currently, Diamond W Club Lambs operates out of an "East" division, which is operated by Craig and Regina Williams in Logansport, Indiana, and a "West" division operated by the Ben and Corineah Williams Family in Lyons, Kansas.
Our breeding program and philosophy revolves around great females. Many of our donors will trace back to the "1702" donor, who drastically changed our program in a positive direction. Between the two locations, embryo transfer gets used extensively along with artificial insemination to gain access to the industry's leading genetics. Although our flock size is relatively small, we try to be very intentional about our breeding decisions to generate the highest quality show sheep and breeding stock that we can.
If you are ever passing through North Central Indiana or South Central Kansas, give Craig or Ben a call to swing by or to just talk sheep. We enjoy connecting with breeders and show families alike! |
