The Williams family got their start in the show lamb business like many other programs, from 4-H projects through the local county fair. Craig had a love and passion for cattle and sheep growing up which bloomed into the foundation of Diamond W Club Lambs. The operation moved from Iowa to Indiana in 1992, which has been its roots ever since. Craig and Regina, along with their four children – Amanda, Lyndsey, Ben and Anna – enjoyed competing at the local and state level while the kids were in 4-H. We were always proud that most of our success came from the livestock we raised and produced through breeding decisions.
Over the course of time, our flock of about 50 ewes has transitioned from a heavy Suffolk influence into more Hampshire appearing sheep for the modern times. Today, we utilize the available technology to make as much genetic progress as we can in a short amount of time. We consistently use embryo transfer and artificial insemination techniques to gain access to some of most prolific bucks in the country, while replicating genetics from our foundation females. Our goal is for families to have tremendous success at their county fair and for our top end to be competitive at state and national shows. We sell sheep through a combination of online sales, bid boards, private treaty and consignment events.
We always welcome visitors to come and take a look at the stock or to simply “talk sheep.” Either way, we would enjoy connecting with you and your family!
